SewWhat! is software for viewing, editing and converting embroidery files (most embroidery formats supported). It can be used to write a floppy disk that is compatible with the HUS Designer-1© embroidery machine. (For questions regarding D1 floppy creation using SewWhat!, please contact Judy.) SewWhat! is compatible with the cataloging program SewCat: files displayed in SewCat can be dragged and dropped into the SewWhat! workspace for editing. Features of SewWhat! View embroidery files, even if they are included in zip or rar archives View thumbnails (in Album View) of files in your working directory Create Designer-1© floppy disks Use any TrueType font [TTF©] to create monogram lettering Resize, reposition, delete, rotate, and merge sewing patterns Convert from, and save to, multiple file formats either individually or in batches Simulate the real-time stitch out of a pattern Change individual thread colors and background fabrics Print out the design and design summary View a histogram of the thread length distribution for each pattern Hide or view (as thickened or dashed lines) jump stitches SewWhat! Workspace When a file is opened into the SewWhat! program it is displayed in the workspace shown below: SewWhat! Workspace The workspace is divided into an active editing portion (the left pane) and an information pane which displays stitch information and an optional stitch length distribution graph. System Requirements Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, XP, Windows 2000 and VISTA, or MAC with a Windows Emulator. At least 810 kB of free space is required to install the program and help files, and an additional 160 kB for (optional) sample embroidery files.
